  • Huawei Vodafone R215

    Hello folks!

I've bought a second hand Huawei Vodafone R215 from tweedehands.be (kind of eBay for Belgium). Normally it have to be used with Proximus, the Belgian partner of Vodafone. But I want to use it when I travel outside Belgium. Just buying a SIM card in the country where I travel, put it in the Huawei Vodafone R215 and use it...
In Belgium I want to use it on the Mobistar and the Base network, outside Belgium on every other network.

So I've downloaded DC Unlocker, installed it and I have connected the Huawei Vodafone R215 with an USB cable to my computer. When I follow this guide (https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-v...d-unlock-guide) I get an error that no modem has been found.

I do these steps, maybe I do something wrong?
    1. Connect Huawei Vodafone R215 to my computer using USB cable
    2. Put Huawei Vodafone R215 on
    3. Start DC Unlocker Client
    4. Select manufacturer : Huawei
    5. Select model : Auto Detect
    6. Search (magnifying glass button)
    7. Result :

    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1168

    Detecting modem :

    selection :
    manufacturer - Huawei modems
    model - Auto detect (recommended)

    modem not found !

The R215 is working correctly : I can login and when it has a Proximus SIM card inside it, I can use it.

Any idea what I do wrong?

I just tried to buy unlock the device using DC Unlocker. I've choosen "Generate Unlock code by IMEI". I've entered the IMEI code and i got a unlock code right now. Only problem : where do I have to enter this unlock code?

DC Unlocker only gave me this:
Unlock Huawei Vodafone R215 (IMEI CODE) cost 7 cr
    Service text tutorial: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-v...d-unlock-guide

The link above doesn't show me where to enter that code.

Hello, we do not have such information where to enter unlock code on devices, it's up to a user to generate it if he knows how to apply it for his device. To detect device correctly make sure it is not being used by any other service, it can not be connected to internet, it's web ui/dashboard program must be closed. Device's drive/cdrom (if visible in computer area) should be ejected too. Device should be visible in device manager under one of the mentioned lines - Network adapters, Modems, Ports.
