  • Ascend G510-0200 driver not working

    Hi, I own 2x HAUWEI G510-0200.
The first one I successfully unlocked around a year ago. No issues at all, DC unlocker worked a treat.
No i've got around to unlocking the second phone, however cannot unlock it due to incorrect drivers.

I've used the tutorial on the website here: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/free-hua...nlock-tutorial
In the start it says to download and install these drivers: U8825D_(Ascend_G330D)_U8950_(Ascend_G600)_usb_driv er.zip from the link https://files.dc-unlocker.com/backen...E98BC29A9C1216

When I run the DC unlocker using the recommended settings, I get the following error.
    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1074

    Detecting phone :

    selection :
    manufacturer - Huawei phones
    model - Auto detect (recommended)

    Found Applications port COM3
    Found Diagnostics port COM4

    unknown error (231)

DBAadapter reserved Interface driver ver. 2.0.6.601 required, please download and install ( download link: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/download/..._2.0.6.601.zip )
I then download these new drivers from the direct link provided, and install them. (They appear to be exactly the same drivers anyhow)
After installing rebooting and even rebooting the phone, then running DC unlocker once more, I am faced with exactly the same error as above.

If anyone can offer any assistance to get this working, it would be greatly appreciated.

    [[EDIT]]
I've now also uninstalled the DC unlocker client, downloaded the latest version, and now installed and run DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1180.
Exactly the same issue/error as above.

Looks like your phone is not incorrect mode. Have you entered modem as provided in link? With purple/pink screen?

I have attempted to unlock in all modes. Recovery, (purple screen boot), fastboot (white) and regular operation with and without debug.
In (purple screen boot) I get the error from my first post.
In all other modes, i receive a different failure, "Phone not found".

      [[EDIT]]
I've just tried the process on my first phone, the one which successfully unlocked and is running custom recovery and firmware. The same issue exists.

      I have also tried DC-unlocker versions -
      dc-unlocker_client-1.00.1180
      dc-unlocker_client-1.00.1074
      dc-unlocker_client-1.00.1064
      dc-unlocker_client-1.00.1066

I still believe it to be a driver issue, or a slim chance it's a connection issue with the server.
The status in the bottom right corner of the unlocker software displays different things as it goes thru the process.
      Collecting the Phone Data...
      Connecting to Server...
Then it fails with the unknown error (231).

Another thing I have tried is to manually select the Model (Ascend G510-0200) instead of Auto Detect.
Using the same ports the software find itself in auto mode, I get the Phone not Found error.
Trying different mixtures of ports, 4-4, 3-3, 3-4, 4-3, all give me Phone not Found.

In between every test I am removing the battery and re-entering purple screen mode and also restarting the DC unlocker software.
I have also tried all these steps with antivirus disabled, same results.

        Finally got it working!!

What worked for me in this instance was a series of uninstall and reinstall of the driver.
Nothing was working, but I did notice it now changed to COM5 (previously it has been COM3)
Still no luck getting it to gel.
I now did another couple of uninstall/reinstall and it stayed COM5 however the DC unlocker was getting "Phone not Found" all the time now.
So i did one last uninstall of the driver, and then ran DriverSetup64.exe to reinstall trying the 64bit driver (I had tried the 64bit driver previously to no avail)
It changed the communications to COM6
Running the DC unlocker once again, it finally selected Application as COM4 and Diagnostic as COM6, and FINALLY went thru the whole process providing me with the required Bootloader code.

I have no idea how or why, but it wasn't until I used dc-unlocker_client-1.00.1066 with the 64bit driver, settling on COM6, that I could get the process to function as it should.

At least this is here now in case someone else has a similar issue.
        Cheers.
