Unlocked but Invalid Sim - E586

I have tried to unlock my Huawei E586 locked to THREE. It would only allow me to do Generate Unlock Code by IMEI and Generate Firmware Code. Both of which I did and I now get:
SIM Lock status : unlocked

But if I put another SIM (Vodafone or a Chinese One) card in I still get "Invalid SIM" on my display. Did I miss something out? Why can I now not use my Vodafone Sim Card?

When you detected modem and sew lock status : unlocked, what sim card was there inserted? Original or other provider? Only with other provider sim inserted you will see correct lock status and will be able to unlock.

Thank you Vincentas. It looks as though this is working now as I have tried some other sims. Thank you also for your help on the online chat.

I use my E586 when I am on holiday as I can't always find a hotspot, but I have just been to China and I had to buy a Sim card and put it in my android phone to use that as a mobile AP. It worked but the phone was getting really hot, and I had to keep swapping the sim cards over. Now next time I go abroad I can buy a sim card and put it in the E586. So thank you for your help and thank you for the ability to unlock the device.
