I have 2 Huawei E303s-2 HiLink (Vodafone Egypt).
The original Firmware / Dashboard / WebUI:
Found modem : E303

Compile date / time : Sep 5 2012 13:57:36
Hardware ver. : CH2E303SM
Dashboard version : HiLink12.012.02.03.37
Web UI version : HiLink12.012.02.03.37
Voice feature : not supported in current firmware
Note that DC-unlocker reports model as normal E303 not HiLink probably because I have to use "http://192.168.1.1/html/switchProjectMode.html" first to be detected.
Both appear as locked with all 10 codes attempted with any another network sim.
SIM Lock status : Locked (CardLock)
Wrong codes entered : 10 (unlock attempts left : 0)
Or appear as unlocked with the network sim.
SIM Lock status : unlocked
Wrong codes entered : 0 (unlock attempts left : 10)
I have been playing with the Dasboard and WebUI on one. I installed the official Dashboard "http://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=31521". I got the below WebUI through update, when I inserted the network's sim, but I don't know was this triggered by the change in the Dashboard or because I flashed an uncustomized WebUI 11.010.06.02.910.
Dashboard version : UTPS23.015.02.00.03_MAC23.015.02.00.03
Web UI version : HiLink12.012.02.00.03
Now I need an uncustomized Firmware v22 for HiLink. Please if any one can help with a tip on what is the best version of Firmware / Dashboard / WebUI to use or provide this hard to find Firmware, I would grateful.
Also if you could point out how to backup and restore the original Firmware / Dashboard / WebUI that will be awesome.

4 credits were used by Huawei HiSilicon Firmware Writer to write Dashboard Huawei_E303s2_HiLink_Firmware_12.012.02.00.03_Norm al.dgtk downloaded from the support area. Now I have yet another uncustomized Dashboard. Still missing that Firmware, which can allow me to finally unlock this bugger! I am thinking about trying an uncustomized non HiLink E303s-2 v21 but may be it's bad idea?

One odd thing I noticed is that the firmware writer reports "product name:E173z-2A".

After thorough examination of service area I found Huawei_E303_Firmware_22.158.13.00.00_Normal.dgtk and Huawei_E303_Firmware_22.158.47.00.00_Universal.dgt k, I am asking which is the best one for my model that can allow unlocking in the next step?

I tried Huawei_E303_Firmware_22.158.13.00.00_Normal.dgtk but I got the error: "File not signed. Only signed files can be written to this device". That complicated things! How to add a signature then?
