Thanks, I managed to get it unlocked, with a good deal of messing around. Interestingly I have another identical Huawei Y300 and DC Unlocker can't identify it, no matter what I do. Yes I've entered 'manufacture mode' and I've also tried toggling the various USB connection types.

I get this:

It looks like phone is incorrect modem or incorrect drivers were applied to it. Make sure it has necessary ports visible in device manager, only then it may be detected.
