  • Help with Huawei E303S-2

Hello, could somebody help or tell me how to unlock/change the firmware of my Huawei surf-stick E303-S ?

Actually, the problem is not a simlock because it seems the stick is already unlocked. I can put in another sim-card and the stick asked me for the pin-number of the new sim-card.

The problem seems to be the installed firmware/HiLink software. The installed sotfware doesn't allow me to set up a new profil with APN, Pin etc. for the other sim-card.
I can just choose and use the preinstalled profil of the sim-card the surf-stick came with.

So I need to flash another firmware/HiLink software version to the stick.

Here is the data of DC-Unlocker:

    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1220

    Detecting modem :

    selection :
    manufacturer - Huawei modems
    model - Auto detect (recommended)

    Interface : 192.168.1.1
    Found modem : E303
    Model : Huawei E303
    IMEI : 866452015.........
    Serial NR. : E9P7SA1291819236
    Firmware : 22.157.39.02.35
    Hardware ver. : CH2E303SM
    Web UI version : 11.010.12.05.35
    SIM Lock status : unlocked
Wrong codes entered : 0 (unlock attempts left : 10)

Available firmware files here https://www.dc-unlocker.com/file-lis..._platform/E303 note that flashing is risky and may damage device which we won't be able to help repair so please consider this before continuing. We also won't be able to suggest which firmware will work with your device, so try to investigate if you decide to flash.

Ok, thank you for your answer.

Where are the differences between the firmwares at your linked site ? I mean the E303_HiLink, E303 signed firmware files and the other firmware files shown there ?
Are there any further hints to find the right firmware you can give ? My surf-stick is in german from the provider Otelo, which is a brand of Vodafone.
So I have seen you have the firmware Huawei E303 Firmware 22.157.39.02.35B734 Germany D2 in your list.
D2 is actually the name of the mobile net Vodafone has in germany.

My other question is, how I can flash another firmware on the stick ?

I have taken a look at the flash area of DC-Unlocker, the Read Dashboard and Write Flashboard buttons are grey, because I have to buy credits that's clear.
So I tested the Read Ram button and DC-Unlocker shows this:

      Reading flash :
      Address : 0x00000000
      Size : 0x00100000
      Please wait...

      Port unavailable

Is this a problem of missing credits too, normal behaviour or another problem with reading the informations of the stick ?

This is the software for flashing https://www.dc-unlocker.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=24196 it is wisest to flash same operators firmware, still no guarantee that it will work if version is not the same.

I've tried the flashing program now with the freeunlock Testuser account but I have the problem that the program can't detect my surf-stick.

There is guide for how to put hilink modem into ports https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-h...witch-to-ports but i warn you once again - flashing is very risky and may damage your device which we won't be able to help restore.

Ok, the stick is now switched to a port. The problems now is to find the right drivers. Windows couldn't find the right drivers in the archives Hilink_Driver.zip, HiLink_Drivers.4.24.03.00.rar, Drivers_v.4.25.11.00.zip, Drivers_v.5.01.06.00.rar
