E5776 sim lock gone but no service

I used dc unlocker to remove the sim lock from an e5776 modem. It went fine, detected automatically and dc unlocker now reports the device has no sim lock.

However I cannot get any other sim to work. I have a three 4g sim but the device says no service consistently, I have updated the apn to three.co.uk

The firmware is ee (the network it was locked to). Is there some other lock on the device I need to remove?

Right, made a mistake in the first post.

The device instead says 'invalid sim'. Dc unlocker reports no sim lock (and the device does not ask me for a sim unlock code).

What on earth is wrong? I'm not convinced dc unlocker has actually unlocked the thing. I have tested the sim card in another device (a dongle) and it works fine.

Have you restarted modem after unlock? Sure sim correctly inserted? Could you try other sim? Maybe sim problem.
