P8 lite - everything works except...

Hi guys,

I really appreciate any and all help.
so, I got this phone from work but its network locked (didn't know they sold dual-sim's network locked, kind of stupid to me...)

I tried following the procedure somewhere in the dc-unlocker support page, but when I connect the phone, it never shoes any COM ports and/or appearing as a modem; at best it appears as a "Android phone", where the dropdown says "huawei HDB device";

I tried installing adb, usb hisuite drivers, uninstalling etc, but the phone never appeared as a modem and could not be detected by dc-unlocker;
installed the Hisuite driver, made it compatible with windows 7 (I'm on 10) and it worked as I suppose it should, but again, the phone never got detected by dc-unlocker

I also connecting the phone to a win 7, but the results where the same as dc-unlocker didn't pick up the phone...

ps. just remembered to activate ADB on developers tools, now the above stated dropdown also lists Android adapter ADB interface, but still phone not found in dc-unlocker, also not appearing any com, or modem (neither any usb named huawei as I saw that that could also happen)

I've ran out if options, please help!!

ok, so I was able to put modem detectable etc as per the unlock guide (https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-a...n-unlock-guide)

turns out I skipped the part where I had to enter the *#*# (...) code to put it into manufacturer mode,
now dc unlocker states the following

"DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1273

Detecting phone :

selection :
manufacturer - Huawei phones
model - Auto detect (recommended)

Found Applications port COM7

Phone not found !"

what's happening this time (also, i'm getting a lot of server too busy when trying to log in to check my recently bought credits!)

Are all drivers installed in manufacturer mode? Check in device manager. Also, may need to update drivers manually.
This error means that sever too busy.Please wait or try later or try to restart software,try to check login one more time.
Sorry, we are having server problems.
