Activating E1552

I just found this post and downloaded the application to try to enable the voice support for my Huawei E1552 modem.

The problem is how do i activate the voice support if the activate voice button is disabled???

Firmware : 11.608.08.81.00
Dashboard version : UTPS15.001.05.00.03_MAC15.001.06.00.03
Serial NR. : DL5TAA1892438938
SIM Lock status : unlocked
Voice feature : disabled
Wrong codes entered : 0 (unlock attempts left : 10)

After activating voice CD stopped working I did activate it back using command AT^U2DIAG=1 and top_netinfo program as new mobile partner didn't work for some reason was not responding to commands at all. Anyway after CD is active again voice is disabled so not really happy yet

You need to send command AT^U2DIAG=276 not 1 after voice activation.

Button is disabled, because your modem is locked. You first need to unlock it, after that button "Activate voice" will be active.

E160G non detected after voice enabled

Hi,
After voice enabled my E160G Unlocked and with firmware with voice enabled is not detected from dc-unlocker and mobile partner:


DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0416

Detecting card :

selection :
manufacturer - Huawei datacards
model - Auto detect

card not found !


How do i do to solve???? Pls Help me!!!

Now windows tell me driver installation HUAWEI Mobile, but don't install in automatic... where i can found drivers? I have installed mobile partner...

When I try to upload this, it says not compatible and asks the password.
Can some one confirm that e169g got the voice function?

The password is known as firmware update code (FLASHCODE). You could get it using dc-unlocker (Read Firmware code under Unlock section).

Yes, but it does not say anything about voice feature.
Even though the dc-unlocker software shows "Voice feature: enabled", i suspect that the E169G does not support voice.

But no one confirms that e169g supports voice, even though dc-unlocker software shows "Voice feature : enabled".
If the device does not support, there is no point in upgrading the firmware.

Install the Mobile Partner (won't upgrade the dashboard on your stick, only on computer): http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/get/LihV26NW

Then try it: call your handy by e169G dial pad, speak to phone and computer mic and listen...

(You don't have to connect to the WCDMA/HSDPA/UMTS network to make GSM calls or send SMS or USSD messages.)

If works, you can upgrade your dashboard with the installer you can download from panatar link, then install the Mobile Partner to the computer from the upgraded stick.

You have to upgrade the firmware only if the DC Unlocker says: "Voice feature not supported with this firmware."
