  • E3531 / Modem not found

    Hello,

I want to enable the voice fetaure of a Huawei E3135 (HiLink).

I connected the Stick and installed the driver(s) with the included autorun.exe
Now the Windows Device-Manager show a Networkdevice "Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing device" (No other Huawei Device else) and the Stick works.

    When I start DC-Unlocker, its seems DC-Unlocker installs a Huawai-Modem driver.
After that DC-Unlocker reports "Modem not found"

Whats wrong? What can I do?

If you can not detect modem, check this:
Make sure all drivers are installed or whatever else comes in device's drive
Make sure modems connection software/WEBUI/Dashboard is installed, but not running. (if there is one)
Use Autodetect on DC-unlocker “select model” line.
Make sure modem is not connected to internet.

With "Dashboard" you mean the Mobile Parner Software from Huawei?
It seems it was not installed.
I installed it, but same result "Modem not found"...

After starting Auto detect, dc-unlocker posts "Enabling Huawei modem driver... OK" and Windows tries to install a new device.
In Windows Device-Manager now there a two new "Unknown Devices" named "HUAWAI Mobile", but Windows can't find/install any right driver for it.
Think thats the problem, but were can I get the device-driver?

I already installed all driver/software which was on the Huawei-Stick and the Mobile Parner Software...

Try to apply Hilink drivers manually that you can find on our support area for it then.

After many attempts, I was able to install a driver manually.
Now, dc-unlocker can read out Modem information.

But I think the firmware on my E3531 doesn't support the voice feature.
It is not listet in the modem information.

Do I have to update the Modem-Firmware first?
Where can I get a Firmware to activate the voice feature?
          Can you help?

If it does not show on detect info then yes, it is not supported by current firmware version, sorry we do not have info what firmware or where to get one that supports it.
