Fastboot: FAILED (remote: image verification error)

Hi!

Device: Huawei P9 EVA-AL10

I semi-bricked my device trying to go back from the GizmoChina Android N - Release that was draining my battery like crazy, but thanks to DC Pheonix I was able to restore the device (Method 2) and with HCU-Client restore my serial number and IMEI/IMEI2, so far I've only checked that it works with one of the sim-slots, but I'm guessing if that one works the other one should too.

Now, that all being great and thanks for the tools you provided (as you might see from my account, I've managed to spend quite a lot of credits for only 1 phone..).

I want to root the phone and install a custom rom, yes you heard me right, I'm not done yet

But here's the thing, when I try to flash TWRP Custom Restore on the device now, I only get this message:

The bootloader is unlocked! And when I try to unlock it again using my unlock code ... I get this message:

Can you please help me get me back on track with a custom recovery?!

Are you sure that bootloader is unlocked?
Enter “fastboot oem get-bootinfo” in command window. What you see?

It's not bricked but i don't find a way to flash TWRP recovery... i have the error: FAILED (remote: image verification error)
I tried several different recovery images for this device but always the same error.
Any idea?

It happens only when you have changed something after unlocking bootloader, so restore those changes and relock will work again. Also, we do not have help for custom recovery flashing.

How to do it check tutorial on HCU page http://hcu-client.com/ check IMEI repair tutorial, it's exact same thing, you just need to repair SN instead of IMEI.
