Hauwei P9 unlocker and Android Pay

I recently purchased an Hauwei P9 which was locked to O2. I unlocked the phone inserted my sim, everything worked fine but then I noticed that when I try to use Android Pay it fails.

I know that if a phone has a unlocked bootloader Android Pay will no longer work as it thinks the security has been compromised. Could DC unlocker have crippled my Android Pay. I didn't use Android pay on this phone prior to the running DC unlocker so not sure if unlocking caused the issue. O2 exchanged the phone for me but the new one is also sim locked. So I'm worried about using software again. Anyone else have this issue with Android Pay after unlocking via software?

No one have contacted about this problem yet. Network unlock has nothing to do with bootloader unlock as latter one is unlocked only via cmd/adb.
