e169 not working...

hello,

i just bought a e 169 modem that suposedly should be unlocked.

i am a macintosh user, but it should not matter. my friend have a e 169 modem, with the 3 logo on it, also using 3. my modem has a 3 logo on it as well but i am not using 3.

phoned the company that prvided me with my sim card, and they said it could be due to macintosh that it wold not work, but i said that it has nothing to do with it, because i use my friends modem on my mac and it works perfectly.

so i browed the internet a bit, and found this forum and also the application that i installed on my friends pc. dc unlocker. but it would not even recognize my modem, not with the sim in it or out of the modem.

also downloaded the Mobile Connect and installed it. then they want me to enter a code on my mac - what code is that? and I have onle 10 tries...

the application from 3 wont work on my machine as well.

i tried everything both the 3Connect and the Huaweis Mobile Connect
on my friends machin with his modem and it works fine. but not on my mac, or at least not with my sim card.
i tried my modem with my friends sim from 3 and then it worked fine.

also, tried to connect with the dc unlocker application, but then it stated that my password or username was invalid.

please, some help asap.

If modem ask for code when you insert other provider sim, then it is locked. You need to unlock it. To be sure modem is locked or no, you need to detect it with dc-unlocker software with wrong sim inserted.
If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version
Username and password for dc-unlocker software will receive after buy credits.
