  • Mate 8 imeis, serial and build

After some fighting I have got my mate back on a factory image.

However due to freezes in DC-Phoenix my phone is now in a state where I have no imeis - my serial is wrong and model/build is wrong.

    Serial is wrong
    Device found: 0123456789ABCDEF

    No IMEIs
--- wrong Cannot get IMEI from device

    Build should be NXT-L29C432B320
    --- wrong Build number: :NXT-C900B320

    This is probably ok
    Product model: HUAWEI NXT-L29

Is the any way to write my serial and IMEIs back into the firmware?

Hello, after flashing factory firmware it is supposed to have no imeis and everything else as written in guide that was given to you. See step 3 in method 2.

Now I am stuck with a phone with no service.

As I see it the recommended way is erasing all nvram and related backups in which case we are having serios network issues.

I am deeply offended and dissatisfied by the fact that the recommended way is leaving me with a mere paperweight - unless you have some way of restoring baseband for the Mate 8 eu which has support for every baseband Worldwide.

As I see it - there is absolute no need for erasing every shred of nvm ram - I am deeply disappointed.

Please do not take this lightly but see it as a polite request to get this matter fixed and solved.

Please understand that factory firmware files are made by Huawei themselves so if it deletes everything there is no way around it. As warned on guide everything is erased from phone to the scratch so if you are not willing to take that risk you shouldn't. And i even said that on live support chat that you should quit and not go further... There is no real solution to your problem, we are having at the moment one of customers mate 8 phones that shows signals, can send sms, but does not allow to make calls, might be related though no good news about it as it may be modem mismatch issue which can;t be dealt with.
