Unlocked - but is it worth flashing?

Hi there.

Very new to this, so please be nice

I have recently bought a Vodaphone dongle (Huawei k3565 - Rev 2). I have successfully unlocked it.

As it is unlocked, I have tested (and it works) with other sim cards on other networks. To do this, I inserted the modem, clicked on windows connections and connected through that way.

Is it therefore worth flashing the software ? What benefits would I get ? Would it make connection speed any faster at all ?

Also, if it is worth it - could someone recommend what and how to flash it with? I read somewhere that these dongles require the e156 software - is that right ?

So to conclude, is it worth flashing if it's working already ?

If modem is working good and you do not face problems then it is not worth for you to flash it.

Thanks vincentas - that's what I thought.

Will it matter though that it has the Vodaphone software on if i try to use it abroad ? Do i need to enter settings for every sim or can i just connect straight away ?

If software accept other provider sim, then you can use it. You need to enter settings for every provider you want to use.

You can unlock it with dc-unlocker. Unlock cost 10 euros.
