  • Mate 8 RIP?

    Hello,

After an unsuccessful attempt to get to b563 or b211 from NXT-L29C636B330, my Mate 8 went into a boot loop. I followed some guides online;dload, fastboot, DC Unlocker, DC Phoenix etc. This was my first rodeo...so ya, I'm sure I f-d it up.

Current state: Black screen. Won't turn on with any key combination held for any duration of time. I am unable to recognize it from any utility on my PC. No charging icon after hours plugged in.

I called Huawei - less than helpful....but it is an international version(or was sold that way), and I am in Canada where they had no presence for the Mate 8. Huawei cannot provide a service center, or recommend one. I have called a number of phone repair shops in the area who indicate they cannot help with a phone in this state.

Do I have options? Is there hope? Was the best phone I had...sniff sniff

    Thanks!
    Dan

Well then it is really sad as only repair solution for your phone would be replacement of board that costs nearly as much as phone.

Thanks for confirming. Mate 9 on order, and I don't mess with this one.
