Huawei E8372h - Modem not found

Hi,

Before we start I'd like to say I have the latest DC unlocker software, Hilink drivers manually installed, SIM card from another provider, and that the adapter is working with Windows 10 x64.

For some reason I can't get it recognised by the DC unlocker client. I keep getting the following error:

DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.1361

Detecting modem :

selection :
manufacturer - Huawei modems
model - Auto detect (recommended)

Enabling Huawei modem driver... OK
Waiting for Huawei modem...

modem not found !

Selecting the modem in the 'select model' does not give me an application or a diagnostic port number.

The device shows up as the following under Device Manager:

- Network adapters > Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device, and
- Universal Serial Bus controllers > Huawei Mobile Connect - Bus Enumerate Device

Any ideas how to get it recognised and unlocked?

After pressing detect, open device manager and check for new device there. If there are, update drivers for them. After detect and unlock again.

Ive had device manager in the background while detecting the modem.

No new device shows up when I press detect.

Similar situation here. Modem is provided by MTC Netman in Namibia. I installed it normally and it came up with a web page, login (ok) and then asked me for a SIMLOCK code. dc-unlocker client does not detect it. Can't I just generate the code somehow and enter it through the web page?

Sadly not possible to generate unlock code for this model. Please check your modem firmware version in it's webui/dashboard and let us know it.

Software version: 21.210.03.00.131
WEB UI version: 17.100.08.01.131

However it must be "possible" to generate the unlock code, since the Web UI offers the possibility to enter an unlock code.
And this is listed on the site as a "supported model"... ??

This one is sadly but not supported for unlock or even flash.
