  • Huawei E8372h NV Hash zeroed after downgrade

    Hi,

I have successfully managed to downgrade my Huawei E8372h from firmware 21.210.07.01.405 to 21.110.99.05.00 by shorting the boot pin to get the device into download mode. However, after performing the downgrade the IMEI, Serial and NV Hash are zeroed out. I know and have already corrected the IMEI and Serial, but how can I repair the NV Hash?

The device is showing as unlocked in DC Unlocker but when I put another sim in other than the original provider I get No Service. DC Unlocker does not allow me to press the unlock button (it is disabled) and I believe its all related to the NV Hash being zeroed out and the device incorrectly showing as unlocked.

Any advice as to how to unlock this device would be appreciated...

    Thanks,
    James

Okay so it seems I cannot recover the NV Hash as I haven't made a backup, but it doesn't seem important as long as the IMEI and Serial are correct (which they are). So my question is, is there anyway to reactivate the sim lock so that DC Unlocker will see the device correctly as locked and I can then perform the unlock through DC Unlocker?

Because right now my device seems to be locked despite DC Unlocker saying it is unlocked. When I put a sim card of another netowkr in, I get No Service. I have tested with two different networks. I do not get any pages asking for an unlock code nor can I access 192.168.1.1/simlock.asp?

Sadly we can not help regarding this problem. You may need to restore your device via JTAG.
