New user with E160g....

Hey all,

I am a 'newb' and would appreciate some help...
I have just unlocked my e160g with dcunlock (it was purchased on the 3 network in australia, and im trying to get it to work in the uk)
The unlock was apparently sucsessful though the only other SIM I have here to test it is a uk orange PAYG card...and it doesnt work... I followed the video tutorial too?!
By doing the unlock, have i just unlocked it from the australian network or the 3 network or something else alltogether.
Once it is unlocked (due to your help!) I was wondering if anybody had suggestions of a good PAYG card i could put in there for occasional low cost/mb usage?
Any help grealy appreciated.

Unlock unlocks modem to use it with any sim card. Be sure your sim card is working and valid.
Connection software that you use may be problem too.What connection software do you use? Is it branded (customized by provider)? With unlocked modem you need to use not customized software and enter your new provider conenction settings (APN, username and others).

cool thanks for the info, as of now i have only used with a UK orange PAYG sim, over the coming weekend i will try another few sims from different networks.
The connection software Im using is currently the standarsd 'three' software that came with the dongle, i did find the link in other forum pages of the settings (apn/password etc) though this still didnt work.... maybe just because the sim was uncompatible? will see how i go over the next few days by trying new sims.....

Enter new provider settings and create profile. Then try to connect.
