error code 36

Hi

I have 2 pre-owned Huawei P9s locked to the UK Vodafone network.

I successfully unlocked one of the P9s using the DC-Unlocker 2 Client software v1.00.1381.

When I tried to unlock the second P9, I got this error message..

"Unlocking, please wait ...

unknown responce!

Error code 36

unlock failed !"

I still have the 4 credits I bought to unlock the phone.

Could you please advise what I need to do to make it work?

Try reconnecting it to another usb port. There is also a chance that it was unlocked even if you got this message.

Thanks for your really quick response.

I moved the usb lead to another usb port on the same pc. Attempted to unlock the P9, but got the same error code 36 message.

I put a sim card from another network in the P9 to check whether it had unlocked. It hasn't. I get the "SIM network unlock NCK... Unlock/Dismiss" screen.
Any solutions, please?

The first P9 unlock I did worked like a dream - quick and no problems.

Sorry to bump this but the unlockable phone is to be a gift to someone for tomorrow - it would great to give them an unlocked phone.

Really not sure why one of my P9s unlocked straight away, but the other (identical) one refuses to unlock.

Any ideas anyone, please?

Provide detect info from software, let us know your username.

Please do this:

1. Restart DC-Unlocker software.
2. Go to Server tab, login (Must press “check log in” before continuing)
3. Detect your device. Try to unlock, after error do rest of the steps
4. Go to Options tab.
5. Click "Save log".
6. Send that file to me, please.

Upload failed. You are not allowed to upload files with the extension cdf."

Please tell me how I can send the log .cdf file to you.

You could send me it via PM.

According to log file your phone is in download or upgrade mode, that's why nothing works for you. You should check Huawei phone Hisilicon unlock guides here https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei_p...lock_tutorials for correct procedure.

That is really strange, as I followed the prescribed procedure to the letter. I successfully unlocked my other P9 by following the same steps.
I will try again and get back to you it doesn't work.

Don't know what to do.
Could I exchange my 4 credits for 4 euros please, as i don't think this is going to work?
