  • Orange FlyBox (Huawei e960)

Hello, I'm new here even though I've read a lot this forum.

I've got a Huawei e960 marketed as Orange FlyBox which I can't unlock. I've got credits in my account, but PC won't recognise it. Instead of coming with a A-B USB cable comes with a power supply.

I've changed cables, computers, etc. The only way to connect ot it and set it up is via Ethernet. I even enter a SIM from another operator and instead of showing me the usual "enter security code" that appears on any mobile, it says "erroneus SIM" and it won't let me any unlocking code.

What can I do to unlock it?

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,

    JamworkS.

Connect it with usb cable and install drievers.
If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.

Unfortunately, no drivers came with the modem. I took out the SIM. I hae latest versión of DC Unlocker, and the computer cannot recognise it.

Also, the usb port is used by the charger that came with it, and if I connect it to the PC it won't boot up at all.

      Un saludo,

      JamworkS.

you can try install drivers manually from dc-unlocker folder. Try to install mobile partner software. Does it see modem? You can download mobiel partner here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads...mised_managers

Unfortunately the USB port it's used by the power supply unit. If I instead of using that, I connect it to the computer using a normal USB A-B it won't even turn on/boot up as if no power reaches the unit.

I reckon they've done something to the usb port, but dunno what.

          Thank you for your effort.

          Kind regards,

          JamworkS.

Sorry, if modem is not detected by windows, then we can not unlock it. We can offer you only a refund. Or you can spend credits unlocking other modem. If you choose refund, write me your username.

The latest versions of DC-unlocker recognize the problematic E960 from Orange by network cable but simlock status is undefined. After unlocking display "card succesfully unlocked" however it still works only with Orange.

I have the Orange Flybox too. This version of E960 dont have usb connection to the computer, instead it use only RJ-45 connection to the computer, Dc-unlocker indeed detect the hardware, but still without unlock status. It only shows us this status:

                Detecting card :

                selection :
                manufacturer - Huawei modems
                model - Auto detect (recommended)

                Interface : 192.168.1.1
                Model : Huawei E960
                IMEI : 357195012103xxx
                Serial NR. : EK7NAC1890100xxx
                Firmware : 246.11.15.01.112

Moreover when the lan cable is connected and the router is powered on, my wireless connection won't worki, it blocks the internet connection. I can't use usb modem too for my internet connection. i might have to use dial-up connection in order to connect to the internet. Any suggestion?

The model you are talking it's an Orange with locked USB port, if it senses data connection it will not power up. It can be unlocked only by network port. Contact me you you need any assistance.

my router is unlocked only. it detects new sims but the problem is after configuring, the mode light should turn from green to blue or cyan but in my router the light keeps blinking in green that means it connects to edge mode and not to hsdpa mode. i tried changing the network mode from "wcdma preferred" to "wcdma only" but no help.
kindly assist me what i should do
