Unlocking Huawei 5172

Hi,

I'm trying to unlock a Huawei 5172 router.

I'm not sure if I have the updated firmware version so I tried to run the updater (E5172updater.exe) but the software just exits after a couple of seconds. I think the last thing that appears on the status bar is "checking for the dongle".

The unlocker client does not find the router. I have my computer connected to the router and I can successfuly open the router admin page.

Hello, does it ask to input unlock code on device's dashboard when unsupported operator sim is inside it?
