  • (Honor9) DC Phoenix Fails, gets stuck at 5% on updating.

Once flashing a stock rom using DC, it reboots itself into recovery and gets stuck at 5% updating.

    Info:
    FRP & Bootloader Unlocked
    STF-L09C432B150
    64GB Storage, 16GB sd.

Any info would be great to try and sort this out, really wanna use my phone.

    Cheers!

EDIT: Trying the stock rom provided on here, says you need to use v39 of DC Phoenix, but I can't login as it tells me to update.

EDIT2: Flashed the stock rom provided on this site, and It seems to be stuck looping this process: Writing rescue_recovery partition with file recovery, the phone itself is sitting on Huawei exRecovery with three options, download, reboot and shutdown.

EDIT3: SOLVED, unplugged device and booted into fastboot again, the process continued and I managed to get back into the OS.

    Cheers!

Bruv, I had the exact same problem. Bricked after OTA update.
Mine was the STF-AL10 with 'International ROM' (bought from VMall).
When the phone was working, it showed firmware as STF-L09C432B150
Tried every single firmware pertaining the model STF-AL10, STF-AL00 and STF-L09 but nothing works. Even tried other firmwares from XDA forums but no joy.
I'm pretty sure there is a solution out there but its gonna be on a Chinese website. Unfortunately, I can't decode (read) that....wish I could.

in the end I wasn't willing to give Dc-unlocker another 19 euros for something that might not work, so I sent it back. Bootloader was unlocked though (I think, though DC-unlocker says its locked and ADB says its unlocked.

In short, don't waste any more time and money.Just send it back to wherever you bought it from and let them sort it out.
At least you'll get something back that works (new replacement/refurbished/fixed).

You need to repair country/vendor before you flash some other firmware (that is if phone boots up) If it does not boot up then you should refer to method 2 on DC-phoenix guide and start with factory firmware which definitely will revive phone unless problem is on hardware level.
