  • Cannot unlock Huawei Modem

This is a Telstra prepaid modem that I want to travel with. Model is Huawei E5787Ph-67a. Modem is not recognised by DC-Unlocker. Any hints to unlock?
    Thanks

The firmware is 21.235.01.00.302 (I think) and I see it in DM under Network Adapters and Ports.

If you can not detect modem, check this:

Make sure modem’s connection software/WEBUI/Dashboard is installed, but not running. (if there is one)
Use Autodetect on DC-unlocker “select model” line.
Make sure modem is not connected to internet.
Make sure device’s gateway/IP does not duplicate with active adapter

Connection software is installed but not active
          Autodetect in use
Modem disconnected from internet .... was not originally
          No duplicate IP

Com port is detected then message "modem not found"

COM 3 is detected. Modem is connected to COM 3. See screen shot.

Go to windows network settings and disable your modem's adapter there, then try to detect it on DC-unlocker. If it has visible drive in windows explorer, disable it as well.

Then can only try from another PC, no other solutions.

I have now tried another PC with the same result. I note another post here from user of same modem so I am assuming it cannot be unlocked. Note: I have standard drivers installed and can see modem in browser software ok unlike other user.

Sorry, if even after checking suggestion provided you were not able to detect it, looks like it will not be possible to unlock it.
