Error code 24 during unlock of E5830

As it says - just tried to unlock a E5830 which is locked to three uk... software appears to have run ok, and says it got the unlock code OK, but at the very end it just says "error code 24" and the device is still locked (and the credit we bought has been used up).

Using software V1.00.0434 on windows xp.

REstart and do unlock again. Unlocking same modem again does not need credits. Be sure the conenction software not launches at unlock time and not is accessing modem.

Yeah!, I know the problem!

It's very unclear how to use this software.

The truth is you cannot connect to the internet via the modem you're unlocking.

You have to find a machine that's connected to the internet by some other means, then plug your device you want to unlock into that machine and use dc-unlocker on it.

Obviously, you need to login to the dc-unlocker server via that other internet connection.

I believe this will fix your problem.

Restart and do unlock again. Be sure the conenction software not launches at unlock time and not is accessing modem. Check, if no other modems are connected to same computer. Check, if no other modem drivers are installed, if so, then uninstall all drivers and install fresh drivers only for this modem.
