  • STF-L09C432 oreo hard bricked

    Hello!
A few days ago, I've accidentally brick my Honor 9 (with "STF-L09C436B364 (8.0.0.364)" firmware).
Today, because of my expensive mistakes, all partitions are wiped, TWRP don't boot anymore, factory reset and others erecovery features don't work, and I can't boot on my system. BUT, fastboot is working like a charm (for example, fastboot erase xxx and fastboot flash xxx commands are worked) and FRP & bootloader are unlocked. Also, my battery is charged about ~90% today I think (it was ~100% when my phone was bricked), but I think it doesn't matter.
    However, I've some problems :
    - sdcard force update (with /dload folder) don't work
    - some partions like MODEM or VENDOR are not allowed to erase/flash. I think it's a header problem, and I don't know if it can be fixed by DC softs.

I've decided to bought DC-Unlocker (pass with all DC softs including DC Phoenix and HCU available for the next 72h) to completly unbrick/restore my phone. I read all tutorials I've found but I don't really know how I can do...

    SO MY QUESTIONS ARE:
    - what I can do for my empty MEID ? (I actually planned to use HCU)
    - which firmware I can flash ? full service stock nougat available or full-ota oreo from firmware finder? I don't know what I can flash because of differents partitions between these two versions so I need help

    Thank you in advance!

If phone is bricked and does not boot up normally you can not do anything about empty meid for time being. I think you need to first attempt flash with full stock rom (never use any ota) that was in phone when it was purchased, then you have highest chance of revival, otherwise may attempt method 2, which will allow you to flash any stock rom after flashing board software as explained in the dc-phoenix guide.

      Thanks for your quick response!
I will try in the next minutes to flash STF-L09C432B130 (stock rom when I've purchased the phone).
But it's a nougat rom, and I'm brick under oreo. I've seen that partitions have completely changed between these two versions, does it matter?

I've some new infos. I've try method 2 but it doesn't work and fail at :
Writing partition: VERLIST... Error downloading file Stanford-L09_C432B130_Firmware_Belgium_Germany_France_Nethe rlands_Portugal_Switzerland_Spain_Italy_Austria_Po land_Denmark_Finland_Czech_Republic_Hungary_3.dtwo rk, partition: VERLIST Error writing software

So all is stopped and flash stucks at 5% every time in update mode...
I read I need to use HCU to set some things, but I can't use it because I can boot in my system ; and this tool don't work in fastboot. I'm lost and I don't know what I can do, anyone?

This is not method 2 that you try, it's method 1 since you are using full stock rom instead of board software.

            I try this : https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-p...ng-in-fastboot
So full stock rom is also required ?

I've retry method 2 and it's works, now my Honor 9 is perfectly suitable... almost.
              I've found 2 majors problems :
              - some numbers like MEID are missing, I've read tutorial about HCU but I don't know these numbers...
              - Network shows "No service", I think (and I hope) that have a link with missing IMEI. However, if it's not the case, I've read that I need NV partition for my device (STF-L09) but I don't find it... Where I can ask for it ?

Despite this, thanks you for your help!!

We won't know phone numbers either, it's usually on the back of the phone, on it's packaging or on it's documents. If nv backup does not exist on support area for your phone means we do not have it either and you would need to find a person that has same phone model and could share it's backup with you.
