    Hi

Just been playing around with some K3565 unlocks.

I clicked on Unlock and unlock successfully completed. Then clicked on Activate Voice and that said successfully enabled.

Now dongles are not recognised by Win XP and not by DC-Unlocker.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Activating Voice should not brick modems - should it?

There must be something that can be done.

    Thanks.

      Good Morning Fakiro

Is it this command you are referring to?

      AT^U2DIAG=255 or AT^U2DIAG=276

Dongle is not recognised though when I don't hear Windows sound when PnP device is plugged in.

Can it communicate when not recognised?

When dongle was originally inserted for unlock, activate voice button was live so I assumed that it would do it OK. After all, K3565 is an E160?

Yes, but unlocking and voice activation don't brik modem dongle!
You can brik modem when you flashing firmware (if something goes wrong).
I've had done a lot of them with unlock, flashing and voice activation on vodafone K3565 and all ok.
You could try to connect the key on another pc?

          Hi Fakiro

          Thanks. I'll try.

We unlock and flash loads of modems though not Vodafone on a daily basis as we are a DC reseller.

Totally lost why it should now not be recognised as no firmware has been flashed purely unlock and voice activate.

              Hi Vicentas

It's sorted now. Thanks for the help.

I hate unlocking Vodafone. They are a pain! The Mobile Connection software is like Terminate and Stay Resident programme which locks the dongle to talk to that instead of DC-Unlocker Client.

Once I had left the dongle plugged in for a good 2 minutes, it finally came up but I am impatient with Vodafone. They seem to take a lot longer to be detected.

              Regards,

              Rhothgar
