  • EVA-AL10 Rebranding to EVA-L19C432

I bought EVA-L29C636 from China. it was re-branded from EVA-AL10. Phone worked fine but no update to Nougat(it was EMUI 4). I bouth 72 hours subscription and flashed EVA-L19 partition table and EVA-L19C432 firmware. Then I have had to fix my IMEIs as it flashed IMEIs from some phone from Europe. End result - Phone worked and I got OTA updates up to EVA-L19C432B386. I updated phone to latest EVA-L19C432B398 manually. No issues with updates... However, there is an issue - phone start miss calls and it sometimes takes up to 2 minutes to get connected.... It almost makes phone useless as a phone.. Then, I downloaded and flashed partition table from EVA-AL10. Speaking of which.. on a top of the partition table, I believe .dgtks file has firmware for modem that crucial for phone model! After flashing partition table from EVA-AL10, I flashed EVA-L19C432 firmware and got two OTAs to ver. EVA-L19C432B386. No more OTAs and it is not possible to flash any further updates.(allways get errors) by any means(DNS, PROXY or via SDCARD).
I believe, for EVA-AL10 phone only EVA-L29 partition table will be sutable if anybody wants to rebrand and flash firmware higher the 386/387. as after v.386 firmware has an update to modem and checkign against modem version found newer firmware incompatible and update fails...
    Conclustion:
    1. If you want to rebrand EVA-AL10, re-brand it to EVA-L29(including flashing new partition table from EVA-L29) as EVA-AL10 and EVA-L29 has identical modems and friquesncies..
    2. If you want to rebrand to EVA-l19C432 than with proper modem, you will be stack with EVA-L19C432B386 firmware as it is last firmware that has no upgrade to phone modem
    Now few questions:
    1. I got an impression that flashing Partition table and firmware image with DCUNLOCKER Phenix Software will rebrand phone. Can someone confirm it is true...
    2. Why HCU Client, allow me to flash 3 imei on my phone? Any idea what is this third IMEI for? It is not IMED it is IMEI.... Please share your ideas...

    1. You can do it if phone's country/vendor settings matches firmware that you are about to debrand it with.
    2. Some phones now has 3 IMEI's, that does not mean you have to flash all of the fields that software has available. Flash/repair as many IMEIs as your phone supposed to have, not more.

Just wondering, if i re-partion phone why it is matter? Or re-partitioning just call re-partitioning and it is nothing to do with it? If phone has new partition table in place and that process is true partitioning, then i should be able to put anything i want(if it is fit) into that partitions. So, if i flash EVA-AL10 partition, and that partitiong allowed to fit 432, 185, 20,or whatever else firmware IMAGE for EVA model, then I can put what ever firmware fit in there... IMAGE of firmware should not be mixed up with FIRMWARE(.app file)... LEt me re-phrase.. - where the heck phone keeps information about about country/vendor? (e.g. oeminfo is just a file, after partitioning it should not exist on a phone). Putting IMAGE shoudl include that file as part of File system that place in one of the partitions. Would you mind reveal the truth?
