  • Huawei P10 died while using DC Phoenix 0.0.0.57

    Good evening,
my Huawei P10 died while i tried to flash a stock rom of android 7.
It wont boot, no fastboot, no recovery, no action while inserting USB/charger.. is fully dead/bricked :/

According to the log of DC Phoenix, it failed while flashing all recoveries but tried to reboot it into fastboot for "writing rescue_recovery partition with file recovery" - but the phone never went on to fastboot again.

is there anything I can do except crying and throwing it against the wall?

    DC Phoenix 0.0.0.57 log

Ok, i've seen method 3 could fix my phone if i use a testpoint image.
When I click on "download files" of DC Phoenix and search for "VTR testpoint", i find two files, and non of them is downloadable "file not found" :/

    download not working:
    VTRAL00M00A047_Board Software_China_Nonspecific_Android 7.0_EMUI5.1_05022AVG._inc_testpoint.dgtks

    download also not working:
    Victoria-AL00A_HLVTRAL00M00A039_Board Software_inc_testpoint.dgtks

    could you fix that?

        i fixed it.
i forgot to reattach the battery while flashing the dgtks files... so it never reached fastboot because it went off...
        dumb me - sorry.

        Hi valdemaras,
thanks for fixing the broken links.
        I tried method 3 - but i failed.

        let me explain:
I got my phone into USB SER -> USB COM 1.0 mode and tried all three testpoint images available:
        • VTRAL00M00A047_Board Software_China_Nonspecific_Android 7.0_EMUI5.1_05022AVG._inc_testpoint.dgtks
        • VTR-AL00A_HLVTRAL00M00A039_Factory_firmware_China_Nons pecific_Android_7.0_EMUI_5.1_05022AVG_testpoint.dg tks
        • Victoria-AL00A_HLVTRAL00M00A039_Board Software_inc_testpoint.dgtks
and the flashing succeeded for the *.dtwork files.

After that, DC Phoenix wants to reboot my phone into fastboot - but this always fails.
I also reassambled my phone, connected all flex cables and tried to boot it into fastboot (volume down + insert usb) but the screen just stays dark and the phone is also not recognized by windows.

is there anything i can do because I am confused, that the writing of the dgtks succeeded but my phone won't boot into fastboot.

        thank you!

Means boot does not fit or device needs it's main board replaced. Either way not good :/

Means whatever you wrote into it, wasn't meant for your phone version. Can only attempt method 3 if phone does not boot at all.

How should I match next time, for safe flash? This is important C738? Or version B210 (not downgrade)?

We certainly do not know what version you should flash. Safe flash would be flashing exact same version that device came when it was purchased, second choice would be firmware version that was in phone before it got bricked, second one is less likely to help though as experience tells.

Was anyone successful with method 3 ? Mine also got bricked last year, maybe in july due to accidentally using incompatible firmware in DC Unlocker,
If anyone has confirmation on above method, I will try to recover my phone one last time.
PS : I don't want to end up paying to DC Unlocker once again without actually having any hope.
