  • Unable to unbrick my P10

When I got this phone I immediately unlocked the bootloader and rebranded it to VTR-L29C432 (it was originally C636). Recently I went to rebrand it back to the original OEMINFO but as Huawei does not give unlock codes anymore the phone became effectively bricked after flashing the original OEMINFO locked the bootloader. I can boot into erecovery, recovery, fastboot and upgrade mode just fine but have been unable to get any of the methods in dcphoenix to flash the correct firmware to work.

    * flashing anything in fastboot mode either with dcphoenix or manually always results in "command not allowed"
    * flashing a .dtwork from upgrade mode fails on VERLIST and tells me to flash model/vendor/country
    * flashing board software from advanced mode gives this error:

Looking for a device in force upgrade mode
No devices detected in force upgrade mode

    No device detected to update
    * flashing OEMINFO fails with same "command not allowed" fastboot error

so it seems I will be unable to unbrick with this tool. unless I am missing something, I would like to request a refund as I have been unable to get any further with these tools.

You forgot to mention your software username. When you flash your mobile by following method 2, what file you select please? Have you tried flashing board software alone in advanced mode?

ah, sorry, my username is bearsomg, same as my forums username.

when flashing in method 2 I am using the firmware "Victoria-L29B_C636B162_Firmware_Cambodia_Bangladesh_Hong_Ko ng_Malaysia_Philippines_Nonspecific_20.dtwork" and board software "VTRAL00M00A047_Board Software_China_Nonspecific_Android 7.0_EMUI5.1_05022AVG._inc_testpoint.dgtks". when I try to flash only the board software in advanced mode it still gives the "No devices detected in force upgrade mode" error.

      thank you for the help!

Refund now completed. this is odd, phone should be flashable with boardsoftware just fine when it's in fastboot as well.

that was what I was thinking as well, but unfortunately that doesn't appear to be the case. and I did receive the refund - thank you!
