Unlock bootloader of Huawei P9 and Honor 7 lite

Hello,

I'm considering buying those 2 phones used from a friend and was wondering if there's a certain security patch/Android version that won't work when unlocking either of the phones mentioned on the title. The sale really depends if I can proceed to unlock the bootloader or not as I plan to root the phone.

Edit : I mistyped the model on the title It's a Huawei P9 Lite as well as Honor 7 lite.

Yes, Android 8 and later are not servicable.
