hello, I found a dashboard version which does supports voice, installed and everything is fine now, I can place calls and use the modem just fine

My problem as follow:

- update with DC-unlocker client
- push bottom disable voice
Now my computer dosnīt find the modem, only the CD-file

i have download some files, but none solve the problem

please give me some infos, how i can reactivate my huawei E160 ??

Try to manually remove usb mass storage from device manager. Then cross your fingers and wait... a long time maybe, I waited 45 minutes... Then modem should be detected in device manager

I have the same problem.. my huawei e160 became undetectable as modem after i updated its firmware for voice calls... funny thing is i got the instructions and the firmware from my provider's site (Globe Philippines) but it resulted to an unusable USB modem... I finished updating the firmware but not the UTPS since right after updating the firmware, it was no longer detected as modem, only as mass storage.. but i know i did not damage it or anything since i can still see the lights blinking, even switching from 2G (green) to 3G (blue) signal... just troubles with the firmware or something... so if you could help me, i would gladly appreciate it...

When you say manually remove usb mass storage from device manager, did you mean to Disable or Uninstall?

Here's my huawei firmware versions:
OLD HUAWEI E160 firmware: 11.604.09.00.00
NEW HUAWEI E160 firmware: 11.609.10.01.158

Here's what i did,

> I uninstalled the USB Mass Storage (for the Huawei) on Device Manager.
> Waited.... after 40-45 minutes (not sure exactly) device manager refreshed and my huawei was detected as modem, yay!

Honestly, it made me laugh out loud when it actually worked... 45 minutes of doing nothing, just waiting would resolve my problem, sounds ridiculous... but it did!!!
