  • DC-Unlocker Huawei E3372h-153 modem not found

    Hello,

I've been trying to unlock Huawei E3372h-153 but every time I try to connect it would not find the device.

I followed this guide to set up the binders https://www.dc-unlocker.com/adapter-binding-settings however it seems I can't do that on Windows 10. So I followed this guide I found instead https://www.windowscentral.com/how-c...ers-windows-10

I tried to set up my network binder and ended up using PowerShell. I tried to set it as the lowest number (top priority) and also as the highest number (lowest priority).

Then I disconnected the dongle and reconnected it again but still would not find the device. Interestingly when I connect it after the change and click auto find using Dc-Unlocker. It works then returns nothing found. If I click it again, it starts searching, I hear the sound of modem disconnecting and reconnecting again, still returns error modem not found but the device is no longer displayed under the network settings until I manually pull it out and plug it in again.

Here are the Powershell and DC-Unlocker screenshots. Please help!

I was able to fix it by installing the driver which I found on this youtube tutorial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHfbI4YWOUw

The firmware I'm running on is 22.317.01.00.1055 and now I need to figure out a way to downgrade... Which seems quiet tricky. I tried to instal several versions but either get asked for password on install or get Error 19.

I believe DC-Unlocker won't work with my current firmware? Help on how to downgrade would be appreciated! Aciu

        Tried again, got error 37.

Trying to flash firmware 21.180.01.00.00 but I'm asked for update wizard Password... I tried to generate that using the Unlock V4 Code Calculator but when I type in

        AT^NVRDEX=50503,0,128

I get an error. What else can I do? :/

Restarted my pc and now I get Error 62...

Tried again and this time I've got Error code 21.

I've been reading about the fact that NVRDEX=50503,0,128 doesn't work which means the dongle is blocked from that and there's no way to get the unlock going since I can't generate the flash code for downgrading the software. Is that true?

Ok so I've spent half a day trying to figure this out )

          1. Seems like my version which is 2x.317.x may only be downgraded using the "needle method" which would require opening the insides of the modem and then connecting the metal needle to the usb to enable the bootloader. Here's the video of how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RsFQH-lAQg
          2. Then I should use Putty and bootloader via cmd.

          - Because of these 2 options, it is impossible to use AT^NVRDEX formula. Source of information is here:

And since 2x.317 - and this hole was closed! Starting from 2x.317 there are three options:
          • Needle method to upgrade to a modified or old firmware
          • Needle method to calculate the code
          • From Huawei there was a flush of keys; in the instructions for the firmware in HiLink, you can find special firmware for flashing on “needle” firmware without pricking. If your not, write in a personal rust3028.
Fortunately, with MTS 22.323, you can roll back to MTSova 21.315, and even though Beeline made a new one, please, without this hole, although not 317, you can also roll back to the old Beeline.

I don't want to do either of those 2...

From what I gather DC-Unlocker only works when I can downgrade which means I won't be able to use it without downgrading first. And I can't do that without getting the unlock key for installation which is required when I try to downgrade. Is that correct?

If so, I'll have to apply for a refund and send back the dongle to where I bought it from.. Never imagined it was going to be so difficult

          Thanks for your help!
