  • Huawei Mate 9 Hard Bricked.

    Hi,

My mate 9 is hard bricked.
    Dead with no lights.

Well, when I connect the phone to the computer with usb cable by pressing volume down button, the fastboot mode detected but with the dead screen.

Hard brick when trying to downgrade it from 9.0.1.193 to 8.0.0.378.
Interestingly, from 9.1.0.252 to 9.0.1.193 works well though. Hurm..

Can i possibly unbrick my mate 9 by using DC unlocker?

Maybe by using this guide ?

    ***See Method 2.

    If cannot then, it's okay...
I rather buy a new mate 9 or mate 20 x instead of buying a new motherboard which gonna cost me nearly the same amount of new mate 9.Haha.

    Please help me.
I'm dying inside right now.. Haha

Chances that you can complete repair successfully are very low, especially if data in it is corrupt since not repair available for android 8 or later.

One of my friend finally replied to my message,

"Oh, thought you were downgrading 9.1 to 9.0. Yes, downgrade directly to Oreo is no go.

I bricked too, but thankfully I have my phones back removed so easy access to testpoint.
And testpoint is the only way to bring it back, then flash bootloader files using DC Phoenix. After that you will be able to flash anything from fastboot, so just flash XLOADER, FASTBOOT and HISIUFS_GPT (flashes to ptable) from 9.1.0.252 and it should come back."

      He's using mate 10.pro.

So, i would like to give it a try.

        I did!

With a guidance from my friend on XDA.
        It works !

I just need to flash my mate 9 with the bootloader file kirin960_T2_a7.0_v3 and everything flashable via fastboot from there on.
        Xloader.img, HISIUFS_GPT.img & fastboot.img and it good to go.

        Thanks DC-Unlocker for the software!!

I even fix every mess i did before and successfully upgrade to 9.1.0.252 with the correct build number.
