  • DC-Phoenix test point to 9008 mode

Hi, I have a MediaPad T3 hard bricked trying to flash with DC-Phoenix but can't drag and drop oeminfo like it suggests in the UI .My bootloader is not in list nor the test points, I found test point on my own after a few major headaches. I can ground test point and get in 9008 mode but I am stuck there. Tool says looking for devices in upgrade mode and then quits when it can't find it. I have several board firmware packages along with the ones from the dc-phoenix downloads section. How do I go about getting it flashed to the device ?

Oeminfo file must be in .img format. First thing you should do is to check dc-phoenix guide and from there check supported models list https://www.dc-unlocker.com/supportedmodelsdcpx.php

I looked through the guide but there are a few holes in it and they seem to have been right where I needed to be. I appreciate your time for the response and would like to know what the supported devices list and the download section have to do with each other. There are clearly a lot of devices in the download section that are not on the list of supported devices. I mean it's an honest question and makes one wonder what a full web page of firmwares for one device would be just sitting there for if we aren't supposed to use them. From my experience any time someone asks a question about one of those"unsupported" devices they get the same response about that not so great list. Everything is not always by the book or in this case the list. I don't know maybe some of us like to think outside the box more. Hell, there's nothing in the guide that I recall about using DC-Phoenix to get root access and TWRP on an MTK device with locked bootloader but works great with TWRP in 2nd recovery slot and stock recovery in it's rightful spot updates are still possible and all without being on that list that everybody hides behind.

Support area files do not represent supported models, there may be files for test reasons, people that were willing to try to repair regardless of the outcome etc. Always refer to supported models in DC-phoenix table. DC-phoenix is not a tool to be used to get root access /twrp, mtk devices on it not supported at all, only Qualcomm and HiSilicon.
