Downgrade Huawei mate se to "Version N" for bootloader unlock?

Hi I just bought a Huawei mate se and unfortunately upgraded from 5.0 to 8.0.0.358. It looks like I do have the option of downgrading to "Version N"(which I believe is Nougat) in hisuite. If I'm able to do this can dcunlocker unlock my bootloader?
