Bought a Huawei B525 off ebay. Had it unlocked to use on 3. Then found the IMEI is blacklisted with 3 so won't connect. Have just signed a 2 year contract with them.
Downloaded DC Unlocker and have a link to a Huawei unlock code calculator. I watched a video on youtube on how to change the IMEI. It looks easy, but he already had a new IMEI to paste in. He doesn't mention where he got this new number. I have found random IMEI generators online but none create one starting with 86...
If I succesfully change the IMEI will it work on 3? Does it need to start with 86...? If so where do I get a new IMEI?
Apologies if these are silly questions, I'm not exactly knowleadgeable when it comes to these subjects.
