  • P20 lite with Android 9 --> Bootloader code?

    Hello all,
    I bought 4 credits in order to get to bootloader code for my Huawei P20 lite (I want to relock the bootloader, but do not have the bootloader code anymore). Unfortunately my P20 lite has allready Android 9 installed (I installed it via eRecovery, due to I want to have a clean stock rom). In an other thread i read, it is not possible to get the bootloader code, with android 9 on the phone, is this still true? If yes, will it be possible in the next days/weeks/months....?

    Thank you and best regards,
    wompatz (this is also my username @ the DCU-Client)

      Sorry for the missing information:

      Model: ANE-LX1
      Build-Number: 9.1.0.132(C432E5R1P7)
      EMUI-Version: 9.1.0
      Android-Version: 9
      CPU: Hisilicon Kirin 659

      Have you got a recommendation or better a link for an android 8 for my phone which works with DCU?

      Best regards,
      Wompatz

          Hi gsmgeo and all,
          downgrade done --> Build-Number: ANE-LX1 8.0.0.180(C432)
          Problem not fixed...
          p20_lite_1.JPG
          p20_lite_2.JPG
          No Error Message, but still no Diagnostic port (due to no Modem found?)
          Is the Android Safety Patch date maybe the problem? It is 5th of April 2019 (no change with downgrade).

          Anyone any other idea/solution?

          Thank you and best regards,
          Toni

              It may work as it is now, it doesn't always detect device info.

                "Reading bootloader code...

                Not supported/unknown chipset!"

                Now I will flash the firmware from Post #6

                  Finally it's done!
                  Flashing the Firmware from post #6 helped! Afterwards there was no additional locking needed (nevertheless I read out the bootloader code and also this works, without an diagnostic port and a "modem entry" in the hardware manager). Afterwards I flashed Android 8 via eRecovery (due to an update from the installed FW from post #6 was not possible) and then updated again to Android 9.

                  Thank you a lot for the help!
                  Thread can be closed/marked as solved.
