  • E583x driver

    Hello everybody, I have some trouble to install the usb driver for my E5832.
    The driver provided by Orange doesn't permit the use as usb 3G modem and so, dc-unlocker doesn't find it

    I will be very happy if someone here can upload me the good driver.
    Best regards.

    Fred

          WiFi Mobile Partner Dashboard

          Hi Fakiro,

          I downloaded and flashed the WiFi Mobile Partner Dashboard to my E5838. I found it cannot create and edit the connection profiles and the version of the WiFi Mobile Partner also not latest. Do you have the Dashboard Flash file with the HSPA Connection Manager instead of the WiFi Mobile Partner?

            Hi Sunny, just tested now...dashboard WiFi Mobile Partner works well...write profiles into modem and set it as default.
            May be you have a firmware into E5838 with network limitation...what version is?

              Hi Fakiro,

              Thanks for your reply, My Firmware is E5830_Update_666.11.00.20.112sp05.exe. But when I entered the dashboard by 192.168.1.1 with IE, type in the new profile name and the APN and then click "Save". It displays error and the profile cannot be created.

              Can you advice how to create connection profile.

              Thanks.

              Sunny

                Firmware version is right (is unbranded huawei web-management)...may be need to reflashed (under xp machine).
                My test to check WiFi Mobile Partner was: connect modem to pc via usb, add a profiles with wiFi MP and save and set as default. Disconnect from pc, and connect via wifi...open web-management page and profiles is in modem is existent and is as "default".

                Read this little Quick-Start guide for E583x (my self-made) web-management activated.

                Insert the SIM, then the battery (remember to charge for at least 12 hours before using it) and finally the back cover.
                It is recommended to disable the SIM PIN request
                The modem MiFi is handled with the three side buttons.
                One on/off power switch, one on/off WiFi, and the other on/off the web-connection.
                5 LEDs with different colors on MiFi immediately identify what state it is.
                The E5830 MiFi to save energy goes into standby, so to see the status, press slightly any key .
                If you have updated the firmware, you have enabled the web-management and you have the control with the wifi of the PC.
                Start your PC and connect wirelessly with the SSID "3-Wireless-Modem-xxxx" MiFi the E5830 and enter the key located inside the modem (behind the battery), or on the small card provided.
                Start the Internet Explorer browser and type the address http://192.168.1.1 followed by enter.
                Requests for access, select "admin" and password "admin" followed by enter.
                To customize the profiles for network connection do this:
                - Under "Advanced Settings" choose "Dial-Up Settings" ....
                - Create a profile "Profile Setting" bringing the number to dial (* 99 #) and write the right APN of your network operator ... save and continue.
                - Make "Back" and back to "PPP Settings" and choose the profile that will use the router and confirm with "Apply", than appair "(D)" as default connection used by modem.

                The internet connection is with three different choices, namely:
                -On-Demand means that the internet connection to the first request for data arrives at the router;
                -Manual means that the internet connection start manually from the web management console of 192.168.1.1, the voice connection;
                -Auto, means that the internet connection start when the router is switched on by the pushbutton.

                Alternatively, if you want to use MiFi connected to the USB without the WiFi, then you should install the software 3 WiFi Manager.
                Connect the modem to a USB port on your PC with the small USB cable;
                Wait start automatically prompted to install the software "3 WiFi Manager;
                (Do not remove the modem as part of the installation process!)
                If it does not mean that the PC is turned off the autorun on removable devices (to find the executable in Windows Explorer);
                If you interrupt the installation process, check your PC with an anti-spyware;
                Installing the software, run on icon created on the Desktop (3 WiFi Manager) and start the program.
                The only thing to do is create a profile to navigate the choices and save.
                Go to "Tools" menu, then "Options" and choose "Profile Management". Here you have to create the profile for the chosen operator and save;
                Click "New", give the profile a name (eg TIM), then select "STATIC" and insert the APN field empty string.

                  Thanks a lot! This is a very helpful guideline for E583x setup tutorial!

                    Hi Sunny,

                    I tried to flash the mobile partner to my e5838, but it said that "The data card cannot be found. Error code 3". Could you tell me the steps to flash the mobile partner? Just by clicking the exe file? I'm trying to use Mobile Partner UTPS16.001.06.01.500.exe

                      To flash the firmware or the dashboard of your E5838 need that it must be correctly installed on pc....than you need to install original software (WiFi Mobile Partner, etc.)
                      MP16.xxx is for huawei modem-dongle and don't have wifi plugin activated (but can be activated)

                        Do you mean I need to connect the modem to the computer? Or do I have to install as well the mobile partner that comes with the modem before flashing a new dashboard to the modem?

                        For the E5838, is there a flash file of wifi mobile partner and latest drivers available? Do you mind letting me know how to get them?

                        Thanks so much for your guide!!

                        Bong.

                          Connect the modem via usb to PC and install the mobile partner (if you have not already done before) that comes with the modem. After that all device pheripherals are installed (com ports, network, etc.etc.) you close the software management and after you can update what you want (firmware/dashboard)
