  • [UNBRICK] DC Phoenix PRA-LX1 Huawei P8 Lite 2017

    Hi All,

I have purchased a three days license for DC Phoenix and HCU in hopes that I could unbrick my Huawei P8 Lite 2017 PRA-LX1 phone
I have tried all methods in the DC Phoenix guide but I still can't do anything to the phone...

Here is the log output that I get from DC Phoenix:

    DC Phoenix 0.0.0.132

I also tried to flash the firmware in test point mode with the same result as above.

Are there any suggestions you can make on how I can unbrick this phone?

Otherwise, please issue a refund to me. I thought your software can write to the phone with LOCKED Bootloader

Could you provide log from software when doing in test point mode?
Yes, it is possible to write with locked bootloader.

I used fastboot to manually delete the nvme partition (fastboot erase nvme)
After doing that, the phone's serial number has changed to 0123456789ABCDEF
And I was able to flash the testpoint image sucessfully

Thank you for good news. You should be able to change serial number and other numbers by using hcu software.

            Hi Vincentas,

I have managed to successfully flash a stock EMUI 5.0.3 from androidhost.ru after flashing the factory image with DC Phoenix.
Previously I was trying to flash EMUI 8.0.0 directly after flashing with DC Phoenix and that would brick the phone again.
For anyone that is having the same problem, please flash EMUI 5.0.3 via SD card method before flashing EMUI 8.0.0 via the same method.
I then repaired the Serial number and all the other info using the HCU Tool.

Now I am trying to read my bootloader code and I am having trouble with my license. HCU Tool says: Unlocks limit exceeded! Contact resseller.
Does this mean I have to wait 12 hours, or can you remove the limit for me? Reading the bootloader code is the last operation I need to do.
I have 22 hours left on my license, please advise!

You should be able to do it. License extended for 1 day more to finish repair.
