  • Hawei P9 detected as Qualcomm Phone with wrong IMEI

Hello. I'm in the process of reading the bootloader code of my huawei P9.
    I'm following this guide: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/how-to-r...er-unlock-code

I've read it twice before starting. When i let dc-unlocker autodetect it will either say 'Phone not found!' or outputs:

    manufacturer - Huawei phones
    model - Auto detect (recommended)

    Found Applications port COM4
    Found Diagnostics port COM5

Model : Huawei Qualcomm Android phone
    IMEI : ***wrong IMEI***

more info could not be read.

when i try with manual selecting Huawei P9 or Kirin with spray and pray at diffrent port combinations it also doesn't work.

i have the following devices showing up in device-manager:

Android Phone: Android Composite ADB Interface, Huawei HDB Interface

Port Com: Android Adapter PCUI (COM4), DBAdapter Reserved Interface (COM5), HUAWEI Mobile Connect - Fake Acm Interface (COM 3)

I don't have an entry for Modems: Android Adaper Modem

-got the drivers from the latest HI Suite
-Win 10 in Virtualbox with USB 2.0 enabled

    Phone:
    Model: EVA-L09
    Build-Nr.: EVA-L09C432B506
    EMUI-Version: 5.0.4
    Android-Version: 7.0
Android Security Patch: 1. August 2019

thanks for reading and any help for resolving the issue.
    regards
    someone

Sadly tool is not made to work on VM, therefore until you get access to normal windows pc you should not be using this service.

      Thx for reply.
I managed to free some space on my rig and install w10 natively...
Dc-unlocker software wasn't able to read correct phone info, but hcu did the job.
Got my code and successfully unlocked the bootlaoder.
      Thx for your service
