Hello, even though it's been many months since this post, i wanna say: THANK YOU!
I had the exact same problem where the port is detected but no hardware info is shown. Also, fastboot gave me the same info as you. DC unlocker read the bootloader code just fine and i was able to unlock the bootloader. Tested on Honor 8 FRD-L09C432B418, which is the last available firmware, with august 2019 security patches.
