So what happens when you press service button? You get no information and only com port visible because of security patch that is on your mobile - that does not mean something is wrong, yet. Depending on it, it may work via manufacture mode, otherwise need to use hcu and another method to unlock bootloader or read code from it.

Refund is available, but due to recently changed policy by PayPal regarding refunds, taxes are applied, which sometimes may reach up to 40% of the amount paid - in most cases way less.
