huawei e180 - firmware update reports wrong terminal

Hi,

I have a E180 from my mobile operator which says it's an E180 (printed on the back of the stick). Also DC Unlocker reports it as a E180 so I bought 4 credits to get the firmware code which DC Unlocker was able to produce.

Problem is when I try to install any E180 firmware from dc-files (tried the recommended one and the latest and also other e180 firmwares found on this forum) the update process starts but after the first step update stops because the updater says that terminal connected is not an e180.

Can you please point out what I did wrong?

You can try to change drivers. Update modem from device manager with drivers from dc-unlocker folder or nay other drivers. This may help.
