Yes, you need to put it in a testpoint mode first, see tutorials on the HCU website.

Sorry to say, but the Tutorials are pretty generic and i am unable to put the phone in Test point mode.. I really tried everything. Looks like i spend the money for the licence for nothing...

https://hcu-client.com/huawei-bootlo...via-testpoint/ this tutorials explains how to put device in testpoint mode via software or hardware method, software testpoint works with devices up to android 9, anything above will require to downgrade device first via hisuite or another method of your choice that you know or you can put the device in testpoint mode via hardware method, either solution requires great knowledge from the user.

But exactly with this tutorial, I'm getting the pasted error message. It would be great if you make the software requirements more clear before someone orders the software.. Nowhere is mentioned that Android needs to be on Version 9

Impossible, unless you totally skipped and ignored step 1 of that guide.

It is what it is, i also tried your other tutorial to activate the softare testpoint mode variant, that following the guide works up to android 10 also this gives an error that the software installation failed
