  • Huawei E3372H-607 Optus Locked modem says "unlocked" but it is STILL LOCKED!

    Hello,

I have an Optus branded / Locked E3372H-607 usb stick. With an Optus sim it works fine. But a Telstra or Vodafone sim doesn't work.
Inserting the VodaFone or Telstra SIM does NOT change the lock status. It keeps saying unlocked.

    Can anyone help me??

    Thanks,

    Tim.

It means the device isn't locked. The problem is elsewhere, maybe in APN settings.

With a NON Optus SIM.. it won't even register to a different network. So i know its still locked to Optus. if it DID register to a different network and i couldn't connect / get data.. then it might be APN...

Then it's most likely the fault of the customized firmware which is not good news since it's 22.3xx meaning no way out.
