If I connect it with the card from 3 I get this: (But I need it in Germany so I have to unlock it for the T-Mobile card)

    DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0486

    Detecting card :

    model - Auto detect (recommended)

    Found modem : E5830

If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing:
Check, if the drivers are installed
Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet
Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software
Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.

With original sim card model will show wrong lock status. Try to insert not original sim and detect again.

      I checked all this.
I can connect it with the original card but why not with the other?
So the drivers and settings must be right?!?!?

Be sure no other huawei modem drivers are installed. If are installed, then remove all huawei drivers and install only for this modem. Then try detect. Check, if not other huawei modem is connected and connection software is closed. Only with no sim card or with not original sim card inserted you will see real lock status.

          Hi,
I am having quite similar issues.
          - Huawei E5830 from the UK, trying to unlock from Germany.
          - WiFi on the PC is turned off
          - no other Huawei device has ever been registered at this PC
          - only this Huawei driver is installed
          - no other data card installed
          - connection software is closed, no connection is established from MiFi
          - E5830 registeres as "HUAWEI Mobile Connect - USB Device (COM13)

When trying to recognize via DC Unlocker, I get:

          DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0486

          Detecting card :

          selection :
          manufacturer - Huawei modems
          model - Auto detect (recommended)

          card not found !
Tried with different SIMs as well as without SIM card, tried different USB slots, tried to preset the model and COM port instead of auto detect - no ideas left to be honest.
Any clue why it is not being detected?

          Thanks a lot!

The problem may be that your device is not fully installed. Not all needed drivers are installed. Try to dissable wifi device from device manager and then it should install drivers for modem. Then after you will see device as modem, dc-unlocker will be able to detect it.
