three mobile dongle huawei e156g, can the hardware be upgraded for it to support 6.2mbps from 3.6mbps?
three, think it can, i have been told for a long time now (2weeks) im going to receive a new 7.2mbps dongle, however today three rang me and said they cant give me it now cos they didn't realise i was a pay as you go customer (free upgrade for contract) but they said they can exchange my huawei e156g 3.6mbps dongle for a new huawei e156g 6.2mbps dongle, they said it is the same as my old one but the hardware/firmware has been updated to support 6.2mbps, i think they are just tryin to fob me off with the same dongle i already got cos i been on google for bout an hour now and everyone says it isnt possible on the forums (they are from january 2009 tho) so does anyone know for sure if they are gna give me a 6.2mbps e156g rather then the original 3.6mbps?? and also makes me think if they gona upgrade it why not do it to 7.2mbps rather then 6.2mbps, seems fishy to me.
