  • Problem with E169/K3250

    Hi,

This is my first message at this forum. I've been reading several threads but, unfortunately, haven't found a solution.

So, I had this K3250 from Vodafone Portugal. It had the VMC software and a "very old" customized firmware. Got the unlock code. Uninstalled the Vodafone software, installed the Mobile Partner, inserted a sim from another network.

Actually, Mobile Partner showed the message: "the sim/USIM card has not been detected or is invalid"

Mobile Partner did NOT asked me to insert an unlock code. I found it strange. So, I used a huawei code writer and it gave the message success!

I thought that my problems were over with the unlock. They're not. Whatever sim card i put in the pen, it shows that message...

Here's what DC-Unlocker reads from it:

    Found modem : K3520
    Model : Huawei K3520
    IMEI : 353284xxxxxx926
    Firmware : 11.315.05.00.00
    Dashboard version : UTPS11.031.02.01.03
    Serial NR. : D97NCBxxxxxx3769
    Voice feature : enabled
    SIM Lock status : unlocked
Wrong codes entered : 0 (unlock attempts left : 10)

As you can see, I managed to install the latest unbranded firmware on the E169. Unfortunately, I'm still getting the message "the sim/USIM card has not been detected or is invalid"

The pen blinks 2 times, with a green light, then stays off for 2 seconds... and goes like that, over and over.

Can someone help me out? Thank you very much!

Could you write full imei or username? I will check, if it was unlocked by dc-unlocker. Also, check, mif at detect time there is no original sim inserted. If sim original, then insert other provider sim and try detecting again.

It wasn't unlocked by DC-Unlock, but the problems started before the unlocking. As I wrote, I got the unlock code. Had the data card inserted and even without a sim card, Mobile Partner was showing that error message.

Then, I used a Huawei code writer to write the unlock code. After browsing in your forums, I downloaded DC-Unlocker, run the diagnostics and the information is the one I wrote in my original post.

      Thanks for the help.

Sorry, if modem was not unlocked by dc-unlocker, I can not help here. try to detect modem again with no sim inserted. If same lock status, then your modem should be unlocked.
