  • BIG trouble trying to unlock E5832

I have a Huawei E5832 locked to Virgin in Australia. I purhcased 15 credits from dc-unlocker and installed the dc-unlocker program.

I checked the credit in dc-unlocker server and it showed that the 15 credit is good. I then tried to auto detect the E5832 while it is connected to the internet with virgin sim card in the E5832. Dc-unlocker cannot detect the card when it is connected but it is able to detect it as sim locked when I am not connected to the internet. How am I suppose to unlock it?!??!

I am getting very frustrated at it, Please help me.

It seems to have been unlocked judging by the message on dc-unlocker. At first it says error 23 and when I clicked on the unlock button again it says card sucessfully unlocked, credits left: 0.

However, can someone tell me what is the point of using dc-unlocker and paying for the 15 credits if I still can't use the E5832 with my other ISP's sim card since the firmware on the E5832 has virgin's APN on there by default and I cannot change?!

What is the point of unlocking it if I still can't use it with other ISP? Have I just wasted my money on d-unlocker credits?!?!

You need to create new profile with new provider settings. Not to change old.

I tried to create new profiles but it goes back to the default Virgin profile each time. I think Virgin have locked the profile to not let any other profile be used. The reception light is green using other ISP's sim card after unlocking but it can't connect to the ISP due to the modem using the Virgin profile with Virgin's APN.

What can I do? Please help, thanks.

You need to set new profile as default.

I resolved it. Apparently profiles on the web interface can only be altered and created via the ISP branded version of mobile partner.
